Marcus Camby is known for his contributions on the defensive front as he was the NBA Defensive Player of the Year during the ’06-’07 season where he lead the league in blocked shots per game. Adding to his defensive accolades, Camby was a 4-time member of the NBA All-Defensive Team and is ranked 12 on the NBA All-Time career blocks list.

Camby was selected 2nd overall in the first round of the NBA draft by the Toronto Raptors and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team. When Ewing went down with an injury early in the NBA playoffs, Camby stepped up averaging double digits in the last three games of the Eastern Conference finals, landing the Knicks a spot in the 1999 NBA Finals.

After playing four seasons with the Knicks, Camby went on to play with the Denver Nuggets, LA Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Houston Rockets. Marcus Camby then capped off his career back at the Garden with the Knicks in the ’12-’13 season. He retired following a successful 17 season career.
