Spent the final five years of NBA career in New York…Joined Knicks when he was acquired from Charlotte on Jul. 14, 1996 for Anthony Mason and Brad Lohaus…Averaged 12.3 points in 330 games (327 starts) as a Knick from 1996-97 through 2000-01, including 15.5 in 1997-98…Knicks co-captain in each of his last four seasons…Helped lead NYK to NBA Playoffs in each of his five Knicks seasons, climaxed by 1999 Eastern Conference Championship…Ranks 38th on all-time Knicks career scoring list (4,045 points)…Authored one of the most famous shots in NBA history, fabled four-point play (3PT FGM+FTM) with :05.7 left in Game Three of 1999 East Finals vs. Indiana (Jun. 5, 1999), keying 92-91 Knicks win and eventual series triumph.

Averaged 16.2 points and 7.5 rebounds in 10-year playing career with Charlotte (1991-92 through 1995-96) and Knicks (1996-97 through 2000-01)…As a Hornet, was NBA Rookie of the Year in 1992 and a two-time NBA All-Star (1993, 1995)…Earned All-NBA Second Team honors in 1993 and All-Rookie first team citation in 1992…Averaged 20-plus points twice as a Hornet, with career-high 22.1 in 1992-93…First pick overall (by Hornets) in 1991 NBA Draft…Hampered by back pain in final season; announced retirement on Oct. 10, 2001.
